Morning playoff check-up

The Canadiens got closer to moving up to sixth in the Eastern Conference as the Flyers dropped a 3-1 game in New York to the Rangers, bringing the Blueshirts to within five points of the Habs with a game in hand. Tampa Bay and Atlanta both lost, the Thrashers doing it in a shootout, but these teams don’t really matter to the Canadiens right now. Barring a massive collapse, they should not be able to catch Montreal.

As you can see in the previous post, this week will see every team on the board except the Boston Bruins catch up to Montreal in games played.
