No changes at all to the playoff picture this morning, but it's another big night with poetntial movement tonight as six of the seven teams in the race are in action. The marquee match-up is the Habs hosting the Rangers, who are coming off a big victory over the Flyers Sunday. Those Flyers are in Detroit on the second leg of a four-game road swing that will bring them to Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Those Penguins continue their cushy home schedule with a visit from the Thrashers, who pasted the Capitals 5-1 last night. As far as the Habs are concerned, we're approaching must-win territory.

The Habs have a cushy home schedule too. They're just not taking advantage of it at this point.
I hope tonight is a turning point. There's really not much time left for them to turn it around.
I'm not sure if the boys are waiting to see the team in 9th before it really hits home, but in a sport where momentum is huge I don't see how we can expect them to get out of the first round even if they do manage to limp into the playoffs.
I'll be watching the Leafs and Lightning square off at the St. Pete Times Forum tonight and I'll keep a close eye on the out of town scoreboard. I hope it's a good one in both places. (go Habs and Lightning!).
I have a feeling our good friend Mr. Stewart may introduce himself to Sean Avery at some point tonight. Here's hoping he does just that and that it gives the team the same spark it did in Dallas dueing Carbo's last game.
